Community Plate

Be the Centerpiece

Experience the warmth of community at Arch Street Center’s Community Plate program! Whether you’re representing your church, social club, school, or family, everyone is welcome to participate.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Feeding the Community: Prepare a meal that can generously serve approximately 40 people. While our typical dinner attendance is around 20, we aim to provide seconds and leftovers for the next day. Don’t forget to include a delicious dessert to sweeten the evening!

2. Cooking Options: You have the flexibility to utilize our spacious kitchen facilities or bring the meal prepared from home. Whichever option suits you best!

3. Culinary Creativity: Let your culinary creativity shine! From comforting pasta dishes to savory meatloaf, hearty casseroles, or even a build-your-own taco bar, the possibilities are endless. Not a chef? No problem! Our members always enjoy a good old-fashioned pizza party.

4. Meal Times: You have several mealtime options: Monday through Friday, we serve lunch, our main meal, at 12:30 p.m., followed by dinner around 4:00 p.m. On weekends, we offer one daily meal around 3:00 p.m.

5. Beyond Food: We’ve got the essentials covered with plates, flatware, napkins, and cups. While water and juice are readily available, your contribution of these items helps us keep costs down. Additionally, for health and hygiene purposes, please remember to wear hairnets or hats and gloves while preparing and serving food. We’ll have them available for you.
