Why I Love Arch Street Center:
I love Arch Street Center because it provides a caring and stable environment for members to thrive. I love that members are able to join a drum circle or play a board game. I love that they can do their laundry or have a delicious meal while socializing with friends. I love that Arch Street members take pride in giving back to their community through the Adopt A Block program in the city. Most of all, I love seeing the smiling faces when I come to the Center.
One Interesting Fact:
I was enrolled in a Spanish-immersion program in elementary school where all classes were taught in Spanish and English was forbidden in the classroom.
Why I Love Arch Street Center:
I support Arch Street Center because everybody, regardless of circumstance, deserves a place to go where they can hang out, cultivate relationships, and prosper in a supportive and nurturing environment.
One Interesting Fact: I used to race mountain bikes and competed in multiple 24 hour races.
Why I Love Arch Street Center: One of the greatest barriers to recovery from mental illness is the stigma associated with it and the resulting isolation many people encounter. Arch Street Center strives to break down those stigmas and provide a place where members can make meaningful connections with others. These connections empower them in a way that makes recovery possible.
Why I Love Arch Street Center: I’m proud to be part of the organization at this time in history because right now has proven to be trying for many people. Arch Street Center staff are providing a stabilizing force in this current unknown sea of chaos. Changes in services provided have shown people just how change can be embraced and just how committed the staff and this board are to make adjustments for the betterment of the community.

Why I support Arch Street Center: Having worked on both sides of our criminal justice system as well as in our emergency medical system, I know that people living with mental health conditions deeply need a safe place to belong. Arch Street Center is that place.
Why I support Arch Street Center: Arch Street Center goes beyond providing just the physical needs for survival. It's an established culture of acceptance and belonging allowing meaningful relationships to form, providing a chance for growth for those struggling with their mental health.
Because Arch Street Center supported me first. For many of us living with mental health vulnerability, there is a lack of opportunity. Part of the long-standing good work done at ASC is that it exists. It is an option for those who otherwise would not have another place to go. What is incredible is to see the community responding to the community in a positive loop of compassionate care. The take-away is the best of all possibility lives here.

Why I Love Arch Street Center: I belong at Arch Street because I believe in the purpose and sustainability the center creates within our community. I think purpose and sustainability are essential for us to be successful and thrive as individuals, and I think creating those elements can very much be a subconscious reaction, but when it’s not a natural reflex, we need resources that provide direction and a sense of belonging. Arch Street is that resource.
